2012 Ishigaki Triathlon Race Overview
The Ishigaki Triathlon will be held in conjunction with the Ishigaki ITU Triathlon World Cup 2012 on Sunday, April 22, 2012.Age Group Openings: 1050 Individual (Residents of Japan)
50 Individual (Overseas residents)
Team Relay Openings: 150 Teams

Category & Eligibility :
Age Group (Individual) must be over 18 years of age on December 31, 2012
Must have the ability to 1500m swim within 50 minutes
Must attend the race briefing
If you live in Japan: JTU license required (Please ask JTU Office)
If you live overseas and don't have a license of a national federation: 1-day JTU license fee required
Relay (3 person relay: swim, bike, run)
Must be over 15 (high school age and up) on race day
Must have the ability to 1500m swim within 50 minutes
Must attend the race briefing
Distance : Olympic Distance: S1.5km(2 laps), B40km(1lap), R10km(1lap)
ITU Competition rules and Ishigaki Triathlon rules apply (i.e. Recommendation to wear the wet suit)
Entry fee : JPY20,000 for residents of Japan
JPY21,000 for overseas residents * Commission fee is not included
(1-Day JTU license fee, JPY1,000. JPY 1,000 will be reimbursed by showing your NF’s ID.)
Entry : Start at 12:00 on December 1st

Entry for overseas residents will close at 10 AM (UTC/GMT+9) on January 10, 2012.
Race information :
Swim: Tonoshiro Fishing Port, 750m×2 laps
*Expected Water Temperature: 23-25 degrees Celsius
*Use of wetsuit is allowed and strongly recommended for safety.
Bike: 40km×1lap, Partly hilly (No drafting)
Run: 10km×1lap, Flat
